NOTE: This position is non-guaranteed work, to relocate for this position is not recommended.

Qualifications Checklist:

Experience working on a fire line is necessary - applicants must have previous experience to be considered for this position during the 2022 season.

**Local and pre-existing S100 / S185 certifications considered an asset.

Reminder: The S100 requires a refresher ticket every year. www.S100a.com

A 5-person fire crew (5 pack) consists of the following:
One crew leader and Four Fire fighters.

A Crew Leader needs to hold the following:

S100 & S185
S212
S230
S235
ICS100
Experience as a Crew Leader on three fires OR 20 days as a Fire Fighter plus be qualified to monitor work activities and ensure the health and safety of workers while on the fire line and monitor chainsaw operations.

Crew Member:

S100 & S185
(5) certifiable days (60 Hrs) involved in Fire fighting or a Trainee (Limited 2 per Crew)
Crews require one (1) Power Saw Operator
Crews require: two (2) First aid OFA 1 + TE (2 Crew members) or OFA 3 (asset) for 10 pack deployment
DTA
Tree Faller (not required but huge asset for Type 3)

Applicants must also:

Attend & Pass the annual Fitness test.
Attend the annual mandatory Job Orientation.
Pack personal and overnight equipment
• Have Picture ID (always required)
